Overview

Diego Meissinger and Dr. Ahmed Stifi from fischer Consulting – these are also two of those experts that we love so much. You have created a whole new world of construction planning for us that simply works. She recognizes at an early stage when difficulties arise somewhere. You can then take countermeasures without the whole planning house of cards collapsing. It brings companies, clients and planners together at eye level. It involves companies in the planning and gives them security for many weeks. It's never about assigning blame, it's just about solving problems before they arise. Exactly our thing.

We are talking about lean management or lean construction

When the renovations in "Aktionsraum Cottbus" had just started, we and fischer Consulting were already planning the next action area with lean construction. We took on every single step that the trades had to take and put them together in meaningful weekly packages. This resulted in our so-called cycle planning, in which each trade performs exactly one activity per week in five apartments and then moves on to the next five apartments in order to carry out this one activity again within a week.

A regular train rolls through BRAND.VIER

Diego Meissinger uses the wonderful image of a timed train: All wagons are the same length and speed. This timed train runs once through the house. In week one, the dry construction company builds its substructure in five apartments. In week two, the plumbing and electrical companies come and set up their basic installation. During this time, the dry construction goes into the next five apartments and builds its substructure there. In week three, the plumbing and electrical companies take over again. Then the balance is poured in the first five apartments. This goes on week by week and trade by trade until all trades have finished their work.

Incidentally, lean management was already worthwhile for the tendering phase

Despite high construction costs, a construction boom and a shortage of skilled workers, we received more offers than usual. The companies simply knew exactly when we needed them and to what extent.

Thank you, Beatrice Reich!

There was a special change in our BRAND.VIER team in 2022. Our great Beatrice Reich, who made BRAND.VIER a project for us in the first place and showed us how to handle such a big project, has retired. We were extremely lucky to have found a fully professional successor in Kerstin Köhler, who was also able to work with Beatrice Reich for some time. Dear Bea, thank you very much for so much change so close to retirement. Without you, BRAND.VIER would not have become what it is now.
