At the end of the year, the BBU Association of Berlin-Brandenburg Housing Companies had four questions for our Board of Directors. Here is the full interview:

Mr. Klich and Mr. Niehaus, what were the greatest successes of 1893 this year?
A few weeks ago we started modernizing the BRAND.VIER campaign area in Oderbruch
of 174 apartments started. This puts us within the target of the cooperation agreement and that
makes us proud. It's really cool to see experienced site managers and foremen in our
hybrid lean room fill our Last Planner system with life. This year we were too
still digital pioneers with our app and have the "habitual good" for our first BRAND.VIER house
Seal of the BBU received. But that's enough.

In your opinion, which are current and which are the biggest for the coming months?
Challenges for your cooperative?
We want to take a big step forward with the transformation of the 1893, a new ERP system
introduce and thus anchor our New Work framework even better. We call it
our 1893 work feeling. Right at the beginning of the year, the e-Zeit engineers gave us our
catalog for lower greenhouse gas emissions. We then need to look at the funding that
Integrate maintenance sensibly and also link attractive goals to the measures.
So that it becomes an 1893 path. Of course, the topic of building connectivity 4.0 also plays a role.
That's what our partner Vodafone calls it. We also want the planned fiber optic campus network
advertise for our houses.

This winter, the BBU is celebrating its 125th association anniversary.
What do you wish the association?
We wish the BBU strength and even more innovative power as well as time and courage to move forward
and also to talk about unpleasant things. Above all, we wish all employees that
they can take a deep breath and catch their breath during these times.

Looking to the future of our industry, what would you change if you could?
In our 1893 we speak of a turning point. We wish that
Housing industry recognizes the signs of the times, moving forward even more, moving away from old
Corporate structures are adopted and become an engine of innovation for society. More
add instead of away from. Together we reach so many people and we have to use this potential
go even further.

The 1893 Boards Volker Klich and Guido Niehaus lies the change from cooperatives to know-how carriers -
run down the heart. With the 1893 team, they are testing new forms of work and driving digitization in all processes
moving forward and investing heavily in their holdings. The 1893 is developing more and more of a residential -
management company to a project management company.
